Make 2026 a Year of Deep Spiritual Impact

Hello friends, this post was meant to come out at the beginning of January, but, as its been said, better late than never. I hope that you can still find your rhythm as you read through this article.

To make 2026 a year of deep spiritual impact, focus on simple, intentional rhythm rather than overwhelming resolutions. Faith is a practice of daily dependence on God, not a checklist of perfection.

Here are five simple actions to help you live with purpose this year:

1. Start with Surrender, Not a Checklist

Instead of immediately reaching for your phone or a to-do list, give your first 10–15 minutes to God.

  • Action: Begin with a simple prayer of surrender: “Lord, I give You today—my work, my words, and my reactions”.
  • Why: Establishing a “vision with God” at the start of the day fuels productivity and replaces anxiety with His peace.

2. Practice “Spiritual Pauses”

2026 doesn’t have to be a year of rushing. Aim to find joy in focused presence rather than constant busyness.

  • Action: Create a habit of “praying first, responding second”. Before answering a difficult email or reacting in traffic, take a three-second breath and a quick, honest prayer.
  • Focus: Use these moments to ask for discernment, which is a vital theme for navigating this year.

3. Read for Formation, Not Information

Don’t feel pressured to “finish” the Bible if it becomes a burden. The goal of Scripture is to shape your heart, not just fill your head.

  • Action: Choose one life-giving verse each month to memorize and meditate on.
  • Method: Try Lectio Divina—reading a small passage slowly and asking the Holy Spirit to highlight one truth for your day.

4. Cultivate a “Notice-God” Habit

Training your heart to see God’s hand in ordinary moments protects you from discouragement.

  • Action: Keep a simple gratitude journal. Every night, write down three specific ways you saw God’s kindness that day—whether through an answered prayer, a timely word from a friend, or unseen protection.
  • Why: Gratitude shifts your focus from what is lacking to the abundance of God’s grace.

5. Love One Person on Purpose

General “loving everyone” can be vague. To make 2026 count, get specific with your service.

  • Action: Ask God to put one specific person on your heart for the entire year—a neighbor, a difficult colleague, or a struggling family member—and decide to love them well through consistent prayer and small acts of kindness.
  • Outreach: Let your “workplace witness” be defined by integrity and excellence rather than forced conversations.

A Final Thought for 2026
Remember that God is already in your tomorrows. You don’t need to strive for a “perfect” version of yourself; He simply desires your presence and a willing heart to walk with Him daily.

Blessings.
